Located at 4,000 feet elevation in Yosemite Valley, North Pines Campground sits along the Merced River beneath black oak, ponderosa pine, and incense-cedar trees. The layout includes paved roads, parking spurs, flush toilets, drinking water, and campsites furnished with picnic tables, fire rings, and bear-proof food storage lockers. Yosemite's sheer granite cliffs rise through the trees around the loop. Trailheads for Mirror Lake and Half Dome begin nearby, and a stop for the free Yosemite shuttle bus sits right outside the campground entrance.
