Camp 4 is a shared, walk-in tent campground located at 4,000 feet in Yosemite Valley among black oak, ponderosa pine, and granite cliffs near the Merced River. The site has 61 shared tent sites where up to six people share a campsite footprint, picnic tables, fire rings, and food storage lockers. Shared flush restrooms and drinking water spigots are centrally located. No vehicles or pets are allowed inside the campground loop; parking is located 100 to 300 yards away.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Eagle Peak stands 3,767 ft above the site, 0.7 miles northwest. Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 68-site campground. Merced River runs 0.2 mi off. Mostly tent-only sites. The nearest town, Yosemite Valley, is 1.4 mi off.
