Setting
Seven walk-in tent sites and nine rustic cabins perch on a windswept marine terrace 1.5 miles south of Stinson Beach, overlooking the Pacific from Mount Tamalpais's western slopes. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and food locker. Primitive pit toilets and water faucets serve the camp. From here, the Rocky Point Trail drops to tide pools and red rock beach, and a network of 60 miles of trails laces Mount Tamalpais and surrounding slopes. Reservation-only, accessed on foot from a small parking lot.
