Creekside Campground nestles in a shaded canyon along Lagunitas Creek in Samuel P. Taylor State Park, 15 miles west of San Rafael in Marin County. The 25 sites sit beneath towering coast redwoods, each with a fire ring, picnic table, and food locker. Centrally located flush restrooms with coin-operated hot showers and distributed drinking water spigots serve the loop. The partially paved Cross Marin Trail runs through the park, popular with cyclists and hikers. The campground operates seasonally from March 1 through November 30, and creek access closes November 8 through June 15 for salmon spawning protection.
