Bicentennial Campground sits within a cypress grove in the Marin Headlands, offering views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. This walk-in facility features three tent sites (up to three guests each) located 200 yards down a dirt trail from the parking lot, making it inaccessible to RVs. Each site has a picnic table, barbecue grill, and food locker. The camp provides a portable restroom on site, but campers must pack in all drinking water. Nearby spots include Rodeo Beach 1.5 miles away, Point Bonita Lighthouse, historic coastal defense batteries, and the Nike Missile Site.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
A pond lies 0.1 mi off. Hill 88 stands 827 ft above the site, 1.2 miles northwest. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. Mostly tent-only sites. The nearest town, Sausalito, is 2.5 mi off.
