Setting
Wishon Campground sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet across the street from Bass Lake in Sierra National Forest. Dense stands of manzanita, oak, cedar, and pine provide heavy shade and site privacy, with select campsites offering views of the lake. Each site features a picnic table, stone fire pit, pedestal grill, and a dirt parking spur. Flush toilets and drinking water are on site. Bass Lake provides public beach and boat ramp access, while the adjacent Miller's Landing Resort offers a general store, pay showers, laundry, and a restaurant. Yosemite is 24 miles away.
Getting there: From Fresno, California, take Highway 41 north through Oakhurst. Turn right on Forest Road 222 toward Bass Lake. Keep right for 3.5 miles to the campground registration office. Keep left, and continue to Wishon Bass Lake Campground.
