Wildcat Equestrian Area is a specialized group camping site located at Buchanan Dam on the shores of the 1,780-acre Eastman Lake. Surrounded by foothill grasslands and oak trees along the Chowchilla River, the facility is designed for horseback riding, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The site features dedicated horse corrals and hitching posts, potable water, picnic tables, BBQs, fire pits, vault toilets, and access to showers.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

A body of water lies 0.2 mi off. A group campground -- most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Yosemite Lakes, is 11 mi off.
