Setting
Soquel Campground features two loops along Willow Creek in the Sierra National Forest, shaded by pine and fir trees. The primitive sites accommodate tents and small trailers, offering dirt parking spurs, picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. Vault toilets are available, but there is no drinking water on site. Outdoor recreation includes hiking the nearby 3.7-mile Lewis Creek National Recreation Trail, riding the Miami Motorcycle Trails network, or exploring giant sequoias on the 1-mile Shadow of the Giants hike. The camp sits just off the 83-mile Sierra Vista Scenic Byway.
Getting there: From Fresno, take Highway 41 north through town of Oakhurst. Take the Sky Ranch Road (Road 632) east for 7 miles, turn southeast on Forest Road 6S40, and travel 1 mile to Soquel Campground.
