Pumice Flat Group Camp is situated at 7,700 feet in a lodgepole pine forest bordered by two creeks in the Reds Meadow Valley. Set within the larger Pumice Flat Campground, the facility offers four spread-out group sites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and food storage lockers, accessed via a narrow single-lane summer road. Campers can fish for trout in the local lake or the North Fork of the San Joaquin River. Mandatory shuttles link the site to nearby trailheads for the Ansel Adams Wilderness, Pacific Crest Trail, and John Muir Trail.
