Chowchilla Recreation Area Day Use in CA -- Campground & RV Camping in California

Chowchilla Recreation Area is a day-use park situated on the shores of the 1,780-acre Eastman Lake in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Fed by the Chowchilla River, the park features a reservable picnic shelter that holds up to 100 people, a playground, horseshoe pits, and flush toilets. Overnight camping is not permitted. Visitors use the park to access eight miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as the lake, which is designated as a Trophy Bass Fishery with additional catches of crappie, trout, and catfish.
