Chilkoot Campground sits at 4,600 feet in the Sierra National Forest, shaded by a grove of ponderosa pine, fir, and cedar alongside Chilkoot Creek. The rustic site provides a campground host, vault toilets, and individual campsites equipped with gravel parking spurs, picnic tables, and fire rings, though no drinking water is available. Some sloped spots are limited to tent camping. Anglers fish the adjacent creek for brown trout, channel catfish, and sucker, while nearby destinations include Bass Lake for boating, Willow Creek for paddling, and the South Fork Merced River for whitewater rafting.
