Setting
Table Mountain Campground sits at 7,000 feet elevation in an oak and pine forest within the Angeles National Forest, featuring two large open meadows. Campsites range from level meadow spots to shaded, hilly locations, all equipped with fire pits, paved spurs, nearby water spigots, and vault toilets. A 150-person day-use amphitheater is also on site. The Table Mountain Nature Trail loops through the campground, while scenic driving along the Angeles Crest Highway and hiking on the nearby Pacific Crest Trail are popular activities.
Getting there: From Wrightwood, California, take State Route 2 west for 2.4 miles to the Table Mountain Campground sign and continue to follow signs into the campground.
