Setting
Lake Campground sits on the shore of Jackson Lake at 6,100 feet elevation in the Angeles National Forest, shaded by scattered oak trees and Jeffrey pines. The campground provides campsites equipped with picnic tables, grills, food storage lockers, vault toilets, and drinking water. Each site accommodates up to eight people and two vehicles. Visitors can swim, canoe, and fish for stocked trout and bluegill on the non-motorized lake, or explore nearby hiking routes including the Blue Ridge Trail and Pacific Crest Trail.
Getting there: From Wrightwood, turn left on CA-2 W/Angeles Crest Highway and drive for 3.6 miles. Then turn right onto Big Pines Highway and drive 2.7 miles. Look for signs into the campground.
