Juniper Lake Group Campground sits at 6,800 feet on the eastern shore of Juniper Lake in the southeastern portion of Lassen Volcanic National Park. It features two tent-only group sites with direct lake access for non-motorized boating and swimming, offering direct views of 10,457-foot Lassen Peak. On-site amenities are limited, and no drinking water is provided. Main trailheads leading into the park interior and to Horseshoe Lake and Snag Lake begin at the facility, including the Mount Harkness Trail, which ascends to an active historic fire tower. Nearby park features include active mud pots and steam vents.

The Juniper Lake shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Mount Harkness stands 1,241 ft above the site, 1.4 miles south. A group campground -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Chester, is 11 mi off.
