Aspen Grove Campground is a tent-only facility in the Eagle Lake Recreation Area, situated at 5,100 feet elevation within a pine, fir, and aspen forest. The site contains 28 walk-in campsites (wheelbarrows provided for gear), each fitted with a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include flush toilets, drinking water, and access to a paved 5.2-mile bike trail running through the grounds. Located next to Gallatin Beach and the Eagle Lake Marina, it offers easy access to swimming, rainbow trout fishing, and boat rentals, with Lassen Volcanic National Park a short drive away.
All 0.2 miles in are fully maintained. Paved the whole way in (0.2 miles). Overhead clearance here is posted at 10 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit. Sits on broad, near-level ground.
Gallatin Peak stands 1,786 ft above the site, 1.9 miles east. Eagle Lake lies 0.2 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 28-site campground. Mostly tent-only sites -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Susanville, is 13 mi off.
