Setting
Live Oak Campground sits in an oak grove at 2,500 feet in Sequoia National Forest, located six miles from the town of Lake Isabella. The facility consists of a single group site that accommodates up to 150 people along with 30 vehicles or RVs. On-site amenities include flush toilets, showers, and drinking water. Situated across the road from the 11,000-acre Lake Isabella reservoir, the campground provides access to fishing for trout, bass, catfish, and crappie, as well as swimming, water skiing, and windsurfing.
Getting there: From Bakersfield, take Highway 178 east to the town of Lake Isabella. From Lake Isabella take Highway 155 north approximately 6 miles to the Live Oak campground.
