Campo Alto Campground sits at an elevation of 8,250 feet atop Cerro Noroeste within a grove of Jeffrey pines. The layout offers open views across the Carrizo Plain, Cuyama Valley, and Sespe ranges, featuring 15 single campsites and two group sites that accommodate tent campers and modest-sized RVs. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, supported by two nearby toilets. There is no potable water, electricity, or trash service on site. Hikers have direct access to the Vincent Tumamait Trailhead into the adjacent Chumash Wilderness.
