Setting
Situated 18 miles southwest of Bishop, Table Mountain Group Campground sits along the South Fork of Bishop Creek surrounded by Jeffrey pines and other conifers. Built strictly for tent camping, the site accommodates groups of up to 25 guests and features campfire rings, bear boxes, and a vault toilet. A boat ramp and store operate within a few miles. Bishop Creek provides trout fishing, and the Tyee Lakes Trailhead sits less than a mile up the road, offering access to high mountain routes in the White Mountain Ranger District.
Getting there: From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 158) and continue west for 13 miles. Turn south on South Lake Road and continue for 5 miles to South Fork road.
