Setting
Four Jeffrey Campground sits at an elevation of 8,100 feet in a valley between Grouse Mountain and Table Mountain along the South Fork of Bishop Creek. The campground features single-family sites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and food storage lockers. Amenities include drinking water, accessible flush toilets, and an on-site fish cleaning station. Campers fish for stocked trout in the creek and access nearby trailheads into the John Muir Wilderness, including the Tyee Lakes Trailhead located less than a mile up the road.
Getting there: From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 168) and continue west for 14 miles, then drive south on South Lake Road. The campground is 1 mile up South Lake Road.
