Setting
Located along the North Fork of Bishop Creek in the Inyo National Forest, Bishop Park is a tent-only group campground shaded by aspens, cottonwoods, and pines. Level, dirt-surfaced campsites back right up to the stream, allowing anglers to fish for stocked trout directly from their sites. Facilities include two bear-proof food storage lockers, drinking water, and flush toilets. RVs and electric hookups are not permitted. Trailheads into the nearby Inyo and John Muir Wilderness areas sit short distances away.
Getting there: From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 168) west and drive 15 miles to the campground on the left.
