Setting
Bishop Park Campground sits along the grassy banks of the Middle Fork of Bishop Creek in the Sierra Nevada. The facility has 21 single campsites, featuring picnic tables, fire rings with grills, tent pads, and bear-proof food storage boxes. Amenities include potable water and flush toilets. Many sites are walk-in tent setups running right along the water's edge, though a few spots accommodate small RVs. Anglers come to fish directly from their sites for stocked rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Trailheads for the Inyo and John Muir wilderness areas are nearby.
Getting there: From Highway 395 in the center of Bishop, turn west on Line Street (Highway 168), and drive 15 miles to the campground on the left.
