Fish Lake Campground sits in a mixed hardwood and conifer forest on the shore of Fish Lake within Six Rivers National Forest, at an elevation of 1,780 feet. Most sites fit tents or RVs and feature picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and vault toilets. Trailheads inside the campground connect to the Fish Lake, Red Lake, and Blue Lake trail systems. Swimming and non-motorized boating take place on the lily-pad-covered lake, which holds trout, bass, and bluegill.

Getting there: From Orleans, California, take State Route 96 south for about 8 miles. Turn north on Bluff Creek Road and continue about 4.7 miles to Fish Lake Road. Turn right and continue almost 3 miles to the campground.
