Albee Creek Campground sits five miles west of the Avenue of the Giants on Mattole Road in the western portion of Humboldt Redwoods State Park, adjoining Rockefeller Forest. The 40-site family campground features second-growth redwood forest and open meadows, with sites varying from deeply shaded to sun-exposed. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bear locker. Facilities include flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and drinking water. Albee Creek offers opportunities for wading and direct water access. Nearby trails provide hiking and mountain biking access; visitors regularly spot deer, wild turkeys, and black bears. The campground operates mid-May through mid-October.
