Sheep Creek Campground in CA -- Campground & RV Camping in California

Located in the Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon National Park, Sheep Creek Campground rests near the South Fork of the Kings River beneath tall granite canyon walls. Shaded by ponderosa pines and incense cedars, the site features paved roads suitable for low-clearance vehicles and RVs. Every campsite contains a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food box. Five restrooms supply flush toilets, drinking water, and dishwashing sinks. The campground sits a quarter-mile from the Cedar Grove Visitor Center, with nearby access to trout fishing, pack trips, and trails like the Kanawyer Loop.

Getting there: From Fresno, CA, follow California State Highway 180 East to Cedar Grove. Sheep Creek Campground is located on the left (north) side of the road .25 before Cedar Grove Visitor Center. Vehicles over 22 feet are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum when entering through Sequoia National Park. Vehicles over 22 feet should use the Kings Canyon National Park Entrance.
