Sentinel Campground sits along the South Fork of the Kings River inside Kings Canyon, surrounded by ponderosa pine, incense cedar, and high granite walls. The paved loop features campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and food storage lockers, along with five comfort stations offering flush toilets, sinks, and drinking water. Footpaths like the Kanawyer Loop, Cedar Grove Overlook, and Mist Falls trail head directly into the canyon, while Cedar Grove Village across the street provides a general store, laundry, and public showers.

Getting there: From Fresno, CA, follow California State Highway 180 East to Cedar Grove. Sentinel Campground is located on the left (north) side of the road in the village.
