Situated at 1,000 feet elevation along the Kings River, this campground rests on a flat terrain shaded by oak and pine trees in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Built primarily for group tent camping, the site fits vehicles up to 30 feet and offers picnic tables, fire rings, pedestal grills, and vault toilets. No drinking water is available. A short walk reaches the riverfront for fishing or wading. Upriver access points at Winfrey Mine and Garnet Dike serve a 10-mile Class III–IV whitewater rafting run, while a riverside trail leads into the designated Wild and Scenic section of the canyon.
