Island Park Recreation Area sits at the junction of oak and pine woodland along Pine Flat Lake in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The campground offers non-electric sites alongside 25 sites with electric hookups, five of which include water. Facilities include flush and vault toilets, a boat ramp, a volleyball court, and a horseshoe pit, plus access to the short Blue Oak interpretive trail. Visitors focus on boating, jet skiing, and trout or bass fishing on the 20-mile-long lake, with spring whitewater rafting available nearby on the upstream Kings River.
