Setting
Catavee Campground sits in a forested area on Huntington Lake near the Kaiser Wilderness, with select sites overlooking Bear Creek or the lake. Built with paved roads and paved spurs fitting RVs up to 30 feet, the site provides flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Huntington Lake hosts swimming, sailing, boating, and fishing, while nearby trails include Rancheria Falls, Black Point, and the 12-mile Kaiser Loop Trail. The Billy Creek Guard Station Museum sits right next door. Note: The campground is currently closed for hazard tree removal.
Getting there: From Clovis, California, take Highway 168 north for 70 miles to Huntington Lake Campground Office at Eastwood.
