Azalea Campground sits at 6,500 feet elevation in Kings Canyon National Park, set among towering sugar pines, incense cedars, firs, and giant sequoias. The campground offers 110 sites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food box. Shared amenities include flush toilets and potable water. Located near Grant Grove Village, campers have quick access to a visitor center, market, post office, and restaurant. Footpaths from the grounds lead directly to the General Grant Tree grove, the 50-foot Ella Falls, and Panoramic Point. Hume Lake and Giant Forest are within a short drive.

Getting there: From Fresno, CA, take Highway 180 East for 1 1/2 hours. Vehicles over 22 feet are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum when entering through Sequoia National Park. Vehicles over 22 feet should use the Kings Canyon National Park Entrance.
