Yellowjacket Campground sits at an elevation of 4,900 feet among cedars and ponderosa pines on the shores of Union Valley Reservoir in the Eldorado National Forest. The facility features standard campsites equipped with picnic tables, grills, and campfire rings, alongside shared drinking water, vault toilets, and an on-site dump station. Boaters and anglers have direct access to a paved boat launch ramp and trailer parking. The 4.8-mile paved Union Valley Bike Trail passes right by the campground, and the Bassi Falls Hiking Trail and Desolation Wilderness are located nearby.
