Located at nearly 7,000 feet elevation near Wrights Lake, this campground caters specifically to visitors traveling with horses and packstock. Set in an open lodgepole pine and fir stand alongside a creek, it features 15 campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills, alongside accessible vault toilets. No hookups are provided. Designated stock trails lead into the Desolation Wilderness. Non-motorized paddling, trout fishing, and swimming take place on the lake.
