Red Fir Group Campground sits at an elevation of 6,400 feet in the Crystal Basin Recreation Area of Eldorado National Forest. Located just across the road from the north shore of Loon Lake, this tent-only site accommodates groups of up to 25 people and features a central kitchen area with multiple tables, grills, and a campfire circle. Vault toilets and drinking water are available on site. Campers have immediate access to swimming, fishing, and boating on Loon Lake, as well as off-road vehicle driving on the Rubicon Jeep Trail and wilderness hiking trails.
