Located off Ice House Road near the Loon Lake fork, this area centers around water access and wilderness trails in the Sierra Nevada. Facilities include a boat ramp on Loon Lake alongside a day-use picnic area with 5 sites. The location serves as an entry point for hiking and horseback riding into Desolation Wilderness, as well as summer access to the Rubicon OHV Trail. Swimming and fishing are primary activities on the lake, and the historic Loon Lake Chalet rental cabin is located nearby.
