Fallen Leaf Campground lies on the north shore of Fallen Leaf Lake near Taylor Creek, shaded by native pine, fir, cedar, and aspen near open wildflower meadows. The 206-site facility features standard tent and RV sites with paved parking aprons, alongside six electric-heated yurts on wooden platforms. On-site amenities include bear-proof lockers, campfire rings, pedestal grills, picnic tables, coin-operated showers, flush toilets, drinking water, and a camp store. The 1-mile Moraine Trail begins in camp, with Desolation Wilderness trailheads and Lake Tahoe beaches less than a mile away.

Getting there: From South Lake Tahoe, take Highway 89 North from the junction of State Highway 50 and 89. In 3 miles, turn left on Fallen Leaf Road. The campground is about half a mile on the right.
