Setting
Big Silver Group Campground sits in a flat Ponderosa pine forest alongside Big Silver Creek, just upstream from Union Valley Reservoir. Built for groups up to 50 people, the layout includes three tent units, four tent/RV units, three walk-in sites, and a central kitchen area with tables, grills, and a campfire circle. Accessible vault toilets and trash collection are on site, but there is no piped water or electricity. The campground connects directly to the 5.8-mile Union Valley Bike Trail, with the reservoir a five-minute ride away.
Getting there: From Highway 50, turn north onto the Ice House Riverton Road and continue 18 miles. After crossing Big Silver bridge turn left into campground entrance.
