Setting
Panther Flat Campground sits in a dense forest of Douglas fir, cedar, Pacific madrone, and huckleberry shrubs near the Smith River. The layout includes single and double-family sites with large parking aprons, picnic tables, and fire rings with grills. On-site facilities feature drinking water, accessible flush toilets, and coin-operated hot showers. Guests can walk to the river for swimming, rafting, and trout fishing, or travel a mile to a botanical trail through a Darlingtonia bog. Nearby options include local trailheads and the Gasquet Ranger Station Visitor Center.
