Setting
Nestled two miles inland through old-growth redwood forest in Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, this campground offers 145 sites with picnic tables, food lockers, and fire rings. Potable water, flush toilets, hot showers, and an RV dump station serve the grounds. Mill Creek flows through the area; trails explore the redwood interior and connect to the park's coastal bluffs and Smith River access. Open mid-May through September.
Getting there: We are a six to seven hour drive north of San Francisco. This campground is off HWY 101, and is 6.7 miles south of Crescent City, CA.
