Big Meadow Campground is located at 6,400 feet elevation in Stanislaus National Forest along Highway 4, 21 miles east of Arnold, California. The location includes 65 individual camping sites and a group campsite that accommodates up to 50 guests and 20 vehicles. The terrain offers views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, with local wildlife including marmots, squirrels, and deer. Big Meadow Campground is currently closed, meaning water, trash, and vault toilet services are unavailable on-site. Lake Alpine and Spicer Meadow Reservoir are a 15-minute drive away for fishing and boating.
