Setting
West Shore Campground sits at an elevation of 7,400 feet on the north shore of Lake Alpine within Stanislaus National Forest. The facility provides campsites accommodating up to six people, three tents, and two vehicles, with picnic tables, campfire rings, and toilets available on site. There are no electrical hookups. The campground is within walking distance of the lake's boat launch and the Lake Alpine Lodge, which offers a restaurant, store, boat rentals, hot showers, and laundry. Nearby recreation includes hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and fishing.
