Setting
This walk-in tent campground sits at 7,400 feet on the east end of Lake Alpine in Stanislaus National Forest. Cars park along the adjacent street rather than at the timbered campsites, which hold up to two tents and six people. On-site facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings, and vault toilets, with no electricity or hookups available. Nearby trailheads provide access to hiking, biking, and rock climbing routes. Lake Alpine supports fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and swimming. Additional services like hot showers, general supplies, and food are at the nearby lake lodge.
