Setting
Sitting at an elevation of 6,010 feet near the West Fork of the Carson River, Crystal Springs offers single-family campsites tailored for tents and small RVs under 24 feet long. Each site features a picnic table, campfire ring, and food storage locker. Amenities on-site include vault toilets, drinking water, garbage service, and firewood sales handled by the camp host. The surrounding area provides access to trout fishing on the river, mountain biking, ATV trails, hiking routes, and wildlife viewing.
Getting there: 1. From Highway 395 in Minden, Nevada, take Highway 88 approximately 15 miles. 2. About 1/2 mile past the Highway 4/89 turnoff in Woodfords, California, turn left at the Crystal Springs Campground sign onto Crystal Springs Road. 3. The campground entrance is approximately 1/2 mile on the south side of the road.
