Managed jointly by BLM, the Bureau of Reclamation, and Arizona Game and Fish, it features a three-lane motorized boat launch. Fishing for largemouth bass, sunfish, and catfish is popular; camping is available on a 14-day-per-28-day-period limit. Wildlife includes mule deer, javelina, bobcats, and desert bighorn sheep. Boating, kayaking, hiking, and bird watching are primary activities.
