Setting
Yavapai Campground is situated among ponderosa pines, oaks, and granite rock outcrops in the Granite Basin Recreation Area. The site offers 19 single campsites and two double sites with asphalt back-in driveways, picnic tables, fire rings, and established tent pads, plus four accessible sites with pedestal grills. Facilities include composting toilets, trash dumpsters, and water spigots, but no RV dump station. Nearby trail loops connect directly to Granite Basin Lake for fishing and canoeing, as well as the rugged Granite Mountain Wilderness.
Getting there: From downtown Prescott, take Montezuma Street north to Whipple Street, which becomes Iron Springs Road. Continue northwest on Iron Springs Road for 3.5 miles and then turn right onto Granite Basin Road (FSR 374). Travel 2 miles to Yavapai Campground located on the left.
