Located seven miles southeast of Crown King in the Bradshaw Mountains, Turney Gulch offers a rustic mountain setting among ponderosa pines at 6,000 feet. The group site accommodates up to 100 people and 30 vehicles, featuring a covered picnic shelter, 15 picnic tables, fire grills, and an accessible vault toilet. Drinking water is located roughly a mile away via a standpipe at Horse Thief Cabin. Nearby Horsethief Lake permits electric-motor boating and fishing for bass, catfish, and sunfish, while Castle Creek Wilderness trails stem into the surrounding forest.
