Peppersauce Campground sits at 4,700 feet elevation along Peppersauce Creek at the foot of Mount Lemmon. Surrounded by large Arizona sycamore and walnut trees, the facility features one reservable group site for up to 35 people alongside individual first-come, first-served sites. On-site amenities include vault toilets, tables, benches, grills, campfire rings, lantern posts, and a host. The normally dry creek is subject to flash flooding during heavy rains. The campground offers close access to off-road vehicle trails, nearby caving, and the Arizona Trail five miles away.

Road difficulty 3 of 5 -- a rough drive in. Recorded as maintained only for high-clearance vehicles, dirt, pitching to 8%. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Rice Peak stands 2,919 ft above the site, 2.7 miles southwest. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground -- most of them shaded. A reservoir lies 0.8 mi off. The nearest town, Oracle, is 6.2 mi off.

September normals 6286°F, 2.2″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
