Coronado National Forest campground in the Santa Catalina Mountains, 17 miles NE of Tucson. 73 sites in 3 RV loops with picnic tables, grills, firepits, bear boxes; vault toilets and seasonal potable water. $31/night single, $51 double. Half sites reservable through Recreation.gov. April–October season. Rose Canyon Lake (6 acres) offers a trail for fishing and walking.
Getting there: From Tucson, Arizona, take Catalina Highway/Arizona Route 39 northeast. The campground is located between mile markers 17 and 18 on the Catalina Highway.
