Why

Check the unit's current orders before you commit.All 9.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles, 2.2 miles of it dirt. Climbs 1,500 ft over 9.5 miles through 3 switchbacks, with sustained grades near 20% and pitches to 32%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~110 ft on the downhill side.

Bureau of Land Management, Lake Havasu: Dispersed camping in undeveloped areas is authorized without permit for up to 14 days within any 28-day period. After the 14th day, campers must move beyond a 25-mile radius of their previous camp. This does not apply to concessions, public agency leases, and Long-Term Visitor Areas.
