Why

Winds through 8 switchbacks. A cattle guard 5.5 miles in.
A well-travelled stretch, with camps along here. Night skies are Bortle 3, a dark rural sky. Powell Peak stands 1,578 ft above the site, 4.1 miles southeast.
Bureau of Land Management, Lake Havasu: Dispersed camping in undeveloped areas is authorized without permit for up to 14 days within any 28-day period. After the 14th day, campers must move beyond a 25-mile radius of their previous camp. This does not apply to concessions, public agency leases, and Long-Term Visitor Areas.
