Setting
Treasure Park East sits at 9,000 feet in a high mountain meadow of mixed conifers along the Swift Trail in the Pinaleño Mountains. Designed for single-group camping up to 100 people, the site provides picnic tables, a group campfire ring with a grill, a parking area, and seasonal drinking water. Firewood may be gathered on-site, but there are no restrooms; campers must supply portable self-contained toilets. The location offers direct access to Swift Trail hiking and biking, with Mount Graham Wilderness, Riggs Lake, and Columbine Visitors Center located nearby.
Getting there: From Safford, Arizona: Take State Route 191 south for 6 miles. Turn right onto State Route 366/Swift Trail and travel 23 miles to the Treasure Park Campground entrance (MM 137), following the loop road to the East campsite. From Tucson, Arizona: Take I-10 east for 90 miles. Take exit 352 for State Route 191, and turn left toward Safford. Drive 26.3 miles north and turn left on State Route 366/Swift Trail. Continue for 23 miles to the Treasure Park Campground entrance (MM 137), following the loop road to the East campsite.
