All 12.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Dirt the whole way in (12.5 miles). Level ground alongside most of its length. Winds through 14 switchbacks. Dead-end road -- no mapped turnaround; expect to back out or unhitch. Cattle guards 2 and 3.8 miles in. Gates 4.1, 10 and 11.6 miles in.
Bassett Peak stands 2,776 ft above the site, 3.9 miles west. Private here -- the nearest through road is 1.6 miles off. Southern Tank lies 0.4 mi off. The nearest town, San Manuel, is 26 mi off.
